Photo Project
The Seashell - I've been wanting to do something like this for a while and now have a good excuse to finally just do it. I created the background by cloning, and painting over an old beach photo. The shell was shot on white and cut out then the background was added. Shell was edited to blend with the background. Whew. Lots of good practice going on.

Theme - Rocks with Unusual Natural Patterns, Shapes, or Colors
This is not technically a rock, but there's a few rocks embedded in the cement. In 1978, my son Bowman carved his name in this little area of cement near the intersection Crystal Lake Lane and Grogans Mill Road. I had forgotten about this until this project. Part of his name has been worn away with time, and I had to pull grass away to be able to see it. I know it was 1978 because I'm adding one more photo in the comments. Bow's friend Roy was more successful at carving his name and adding the year a short while before Bow found the new cement poured on Crystal Lake Lane. Oh the memories of the early days of The Woodlands.

King Tut...This is actually a miniature whiskey bottle from my sister's collection. She collected everything. The bottom has MITCHTER'S KING TUT 1978 embossed. The back has a label Michter's Pot Still Sour Mash Whiskey, Blottled by Michter's Jug House, Schaefferstown, PA. It's empty. Whiskey must have evaporated years ago.

Theme - What's Inside? - Open something up and shoot what's inside
I have had this little cabinet inside my front door with an old family photo on top for a long time. I have not opened it for several years. When I opened it today, I realized how fabulous these doll clothes are that have been stored inside. Many years ago, my mom must have spent hours and hours sewing them for my Mary Hoyer Dolls. I spent many hours in the 50's playing and dressing up my Mary Hoyer dolls. The dolls, accessories and patterns to make the clothes were purchased in an amazing Mary Hoyer doll store on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Lots of sweet memories in this little cabinet.

Here's Bob...I could not turn him down when he heard today's color-green. He had on his green sweatshirt and rooted around until he found the green bag for his head and ready to pose with the trash can. I'm posting another green later that I was planning before he walked in my office with the green bag on his head.

The Monster invaded MadDonald's and ordered a Big Mac... Lots of practice with shooting and PS. Added a sky and and also added a texture to my table using masks. So fun. The date printed on the paper mat is dated 1974. My kids and grandkids have all spent time playing with MacDonald's Playschool set. The Monster moves and makes noise when you press a button.
Theme - Wide Angle - Shoot with the widest angle lens you have available.
I used my Olympus TG5 with Fisheye lens attached-I think it's about 18mm-the widest I have. Not cropped. Edited in LR and PS. Sawmill Pool and and empty Splashpad. The gate was unlocked for the Splashpad so I was able to get a better shot than through the fence. Just hope open they open this summer. Will not be a fun summer if they remain closed. This camera is just wanting to take photos underwater in that pool!
